EQ-5D is a group of instruments used to reflect a patient’s health-related quality of life. The intellectual property rights of all instruments belong to EuroQol Research Foundation.
- EQ-5D-5L (5 levels, developed in 2009)
- EQ-5D-3L (3 levels, developed in 1990))
- Uses a descriptive system and a visual analog scale.
- Less sensitive than EQ 5D-5L; ceiling effect noted
- EQ-5D-Y-3L (youth version, suitable for children and adolescents)
