Target Population:

People with total knee replacement.

Brief description: The LEFS is one of the shortest measures to administer and score. The literature also indicates it might be more responsive in the subacute, postoperative stage of total knee arthroplasty. The LEFS contains about 20 items that ask about difficulty with such activities as "Getting into and out of a car."

Clinically important score indicators: A score of 80 indicates the best function.
