Summary

What it measures:

3 domains related to sexual functioning as well as an overall sexual function score: 1.Behavioral/emotive 2.Physical 3.Partner-related

Target Population:

Women with urinary incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse; women who are sexually active (Rogers et al, 2001)

PISQ-12 (Rogers et al, 2003):

Assign number as follows to questions 1-4 only:

  • Always=0
  • Usually=1
  • Sometimes=2
  • Seldom=3
  • Never=4

Assign number as follows to questions 5-12 only:

  • 0=Never
  • 1=Seldom
  • 2=Sometimes
  • 3= Usually
  • 4=Always

Scores are calculated by totaling the score for each question, and using reverse scoring for some questions to reflect that higher scores reflect better sexual functioning (Rogers et al, 2001).
