As a physical therapy student with a career in a previous field, I initially struggled with who I was once I made the shift from professional to student.

I felt like my voice was not important or that the people above me were the ones whose opinions mattered. These thoughts and feelings were based in fear and misinformation, and my introduction to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) helped me face those concerns and realize the truth that my voice is valuable.
