APTA is developing a new clinical practice guideline on physical therapist management of glenohumeral joint osteoarthritis, and your help is needed.

The CPG is now in the public review phase of its development, and APTA is asking for public comment. But hurry — deadline for comments is May 20.

Funded entirely by APTA, the draft CPG covers nonoperative, preoperative, and postoperative management of adult individuals with GHOA. The resource was developed by a volunteer guideline development group that included member expert PTs, an occupational therapist, and a physiatrist, with methodological assistance from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The guidelines are based on a systematic review of current scientific literature, clinical information, and accepted approaches related to the physical therapist management of GHOA.
