The 2023 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule rule proposed by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services was a whopper, clocking in at more than 2,000 pages and covering everything from some major payment cuts to the application of specific codes and their use by specific providers.

APTA urged members and supporters of the profession to send their own personalized comments to the agency, and the association also leveraged the power of its position as the voice of the profession to let CMS know how the proposed rule could affect beneficiaries who receive care from PTs and PTAs.
