This centennial year also marks the fifth year APTA's Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry will submit quality data to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System. But APTA's Registry was created as part of a greater vision, to be able to analyze clinical data to inform the way physical therapists practice — a bridge between research and practice.
APTA spoke with Megan Valenzano, PT, DPT, compliance officer and director of regulatory affairs at Fox Rehabilitation, about her experience with APTA's Registry, lessons learned, and the Registry's role in advancing the profession.
