The late, great Whitney Houston famously sang, "I believe the children are our future." APTA happens to agree with her. To that end, APTA has launched programs aimed at successfully recruiting the next generation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

Over the past few years, APTA has rolled out various recruitment programs to teach prospective students about the physical therapy profession and increase awareness of the far-reaching impact that PTs and PTAs have on their communities. The goal? To grow the physical therapy profession not just in numbers but also in diversity so that the demographics of the profession more closely match that of the United States' population.
