Pop star Mat Kearney is enjoying all the fun and fame that comes with touring 30 weeks a year, but 1 thing he didn't expect was the toll it would take on his body.
"It's very taxing to move and hold your guitar and perform and sing every night," he says. "On my latest tour, I had issues with my neck muscles, caused by singing and dancing around on stage, and some back and shoulder issues from the way I held my guitar."
So, Kearney, who's had 5 top-20 hits on the Adult Top 40 charts, hired a physical therapist (PT) to work with him. He wishes he'd thought of it sooner.
