APTA offers multiple opportunities to connect with your peers.

APTA Member Engagement Groups (MEGs) include councils, networks, societies, and collaborations that help members connect with each other, share information, and advance the profession. MEGs provide opportunties for members to explore APTA and interact with its community.

APTA Councils

Councils are national communities of volunteers that help to advance the strategic priorities of the association and profession. Councils are composed of component representatives who are selected or elected by APTA components.

Council members represent the component from which they were selected for their role. Council members act as the liaison between APTA national and their component by sharing information and promoting initiatives at the component level

APTA Networks

Networks bring members together around specific topics that affect physical therapy. Networks are composed of self-selected individuals.

Network participants share insights, learn from each other, and work to advance the profession. All members can be part of a network.

APTA Societies

Societies exclusively comprise individuals who have specific achievement or experience, for the purpose of information sharing and networking among those individuals. Members are automatically joined to a society when they complete a term or earn a status at APTA.

APTA Collaborations

Collaborations comprise APTA member representatives from within a selected organization for the purpose of information sharing and networking. Collaboration members represent the organization from which they were selected for their roles.

Collaboration members act as the liaison between APTA national and their organization by sharing information and promoting initiatives.
