Stephanie J. Creary, PhD, delivered the 2022 APTA Leadership Congress keynote, titled "Principles of Leadership: Advancing DEI By Building Resilient HOPE," on August 13 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

About the Lecturer

Stephanie J. Creary, PhD is an organizational behavior scholar and an assistant professor of management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Her research examines inclusive leadership, relationships across difference, and organizational change and she regularly shares her research and applied insights with academic and practitioner audiences and the media. She currently hosts the Knowledge at Wharton Leading Diversity at Work Podcast Series where she engages in conversation with a variety of experts in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

She has been awarded the Wharton Teaching Excellence Award four times for her work in developing the school's first-ever DEI courses.

Prior to completing her PhD, Creary was a speech-language pathologist working primarily in hospital and health care settings for 15 years.
